Successful Implementation of Exergaming in Schools

This video is the product of Dr Hansen's research and the commitment of USF to study all forms of active gaming options.

On criticism levied at the genre by the media is the lack of sustainability, with proper implementation this can be avoided. Despite Lisa's study being just 6 weeks under the microscope, the room she created has been going for over a year and a half.

The result after a year and a half? The teachers and pupils want more more more! This is a great success for everyone involved in video gaming exercise.

Check out his video for all the intel on how this was put together, implemented and for my money - the best quote ever captured on film.

The Canadian Exergaming Research Centre (CERC) is developing exergaming curriculum that is appropriate for elementary and middle school children (see www.ucalgary.ca/exergaming)
